ĐORĐE STANOJEVIC

Đorđe Stanojević (born 1974 in Belgrade) is a prominent Serbian contemporary artist and educator whose work deeply explores the relationship between nature, matter, and time. He graduated and obtained his Master’s and Doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where he now serves as a professor. Stanojević is the founder and artistic director of the international platform Nature & Art, which promotes an ecological approach to creativity. His artistic practice is unique for its direct collaboration with natural elements; he often exposes his canvases to rain, wind, and sun, or uses organic pigments and earth to create "living" paintings that evolve through natural processes. Since 1999, he has held over thirty solo exhibitions and participated in numerous international projects and art colonies across Europe, China, and the United States. His works, which bridge the gap between abstract landscape and conceptual art, are included in prestigious public and private collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade and the Zepter Museum.
